Mountainside Wedding North Carolina (Vintage Barn Events)
Kalyne and Brandon
From the Bride:
What did you envision your wedding being prior to planning? "When I dreamed of my wedding, I wanted to incorporate a lot of personal things into the wedding. I wanted the wedding to be personal, fun, romantic and intimate. We both were immediately drawn to the idea of a Fall wedding, because it is our favorite season of the year. We also knew that the mountains would be a gorgeous place to have the wedding and we fell in love with the venue when we visited it. We liked the fact that the only thing that they provided were a few decorations (the only thing that we used were the garden hooks down the aisle) and tables. Everything else we could customize and make our own."
What was your favorite moment? "My favorite moment was when I was holding hands with my husband during the ceremony. It was the absolute calmest that I had felt the entire day, and suddenly everything felt right. I no longer noticed everyone around us, or cared about the decorations or some of the small things that had or had not happened, and instead, all I could see was just how happy he was, and all I could feel was absolute elation. I think that may be why I was slightly less emotional than I thought that I would be, because I was simply so happy. I was so moved when I heard his vows and tried not to bawl my eyes out."
Advice for future brides: "HIRE A DAY OF WEDDING COORDINATOR. My biggest regret is that I did not, which meant that on the day of, I was coordinating things, instead of simply being a bride. That is honestly my biggest regret and I think about it a lot. I think that a few of the things that went wrong (which, not a lot did), could have been prevented by having one. Also, Etsy is your best friend"
