Kelsey and Zack

We didn't get to meet Kelsey and Zack until their wedding day, but I felt like I had already known them. Kelsey and I had several conversations prior, and something that always stood out to me was how excited she was about her wedding day and the vision of the day coming together. We seriously have such similar taste, that I knew it would be easy for me to capture the day the way that Kelsey had envisioned. 

The day started out sunny and bright, but of course in true Carolina fashion, lots of humidity. I am always one to keep an eye on the forecast, so I was checking the weather pretty often to make sure we were getting what we needed before the rain came. While we were taking bride and groom photos after the ceremony, I saw a large dark cloud coming quickly and knew that our time was short. We went as fast as we could to get as many portraits in before the rain came, and sure enough it started to come down.

We went inside to escape the rain and decided to shoot some moody portraits, since there are so many good locations inside! I would say that the rain came at a perfect time. We had finished all the other pictures we needed, and were able to have some quiet time of portraits with the couple, away from all of their guests. We even had a rainbow show up during the reception, and the evening ended beautifully!
