Colorado Wedding Photographers: A Boho Themed Wedding in Colorado

Makenzie and Michael

August 11, 2018

Makenzie and I went to school in Pensacola together for a few years, so I was so excited to have the opportunity to photograph her wedding! Plus, an excuse to go to Colorado— count me in!

This was our first time in Colorado, and it will not be our last! We have shot a handful of destination weddings, but this one is definitely on our list of favorites! First of all, Colorado is BEAUTIFUL- I mean absolutely breathtaking, everywhere you go. The people we met and the places we were able to visit were all amazing!

Makenzie and Michael chose to get married at Makenzie’s aunt’s house which sits in Fort Collins overlooking a beautiful body of water, with the mountains in the distance. It was such a picturesque ceremony location, and such a stunning view all day long. Makenzie’s family was so warm and welcoming from the very beginning of the day, and we truly felt like we were a part of such special day. Family and friends pitched in to help decorate and set up for the wedding, and Makenzie had several DIY elements that added a special touch- she did an amazing job creating a boho theme that carried through the day seamlessly!

We went back out during the reception for sunset photos, and WOW. These photos don’t even do it justice. That view was breathtaking. When your wedding has such an amazing view of the sunset, you know we are going to pull you out of the reception for a few photos. The love these two have for each other is effortless. Taking photos of them was so easy, and so much fun. I loved how excited they were to have their pup, Mae as a part of their day (she is such a sweetheart!).

I could go on and on about this gorgeous Colorado wedding, but enjoy looking through a few of our favorites from Makenzie and Michael’s wedding day.
