Who doesn’t love a Christmas wedding?!

December weddings are definitely one of our favorites- for one big reason, we love Christmas time! There’s something so romantic and fun about all the lights and Christmas decorations. This Christmas wedding at Providence Country Club was definitely one for the books. Not only are Jordan and Carter, so much fun to be around, their friends and family are too!

We started the day with getting ready photos of the girls and guys at Providence Country Club, we did all of their photos- first looks, bride and groom, and wedding party all before heading to the church! You could say a wedding day starts off great when we can get the majority of photos ahead of time. We took a few photos in front of the trolley and then headed out.

The church was decorated beautifully for Christmas, and the ceremony was so sweet and romantic with dimmed lighting and the tree lights sparkling behind them. We took some family photos at the church before heading to the reception to enjoy the evening.

Now before I go on about the reception, just know that I was 32 weeks pregnant at this point, and thought the day would be hard on my feet, and that the reception would drag on (because sometimes long wedding days can be really tough, plus add being pregnant to the mix!). Also, I believe exit time was 11pm- just a little later than our normal end time, but again, being pregnant had me in bed on most nights by 8pm! The funny thing about all of this, is I had the BEST time capturing their reception, and honestly didn’t feel tired at all. I think I really fed off of the energy of the live band and the whole room. This may be one of our favorite receptions for several reasons.

A live band definitely makes a difference for receptions, but also the people you have at your wedding. Jordan and Carter, like I mentioned before are tons of fun, and so was everyone at their wedding. At one point in the reception, her dad actually went to dress up like Buddy the Elf to surprise Jordan while everyone was on the dance floor- I’m telling you, this is a fun family!
