Kaylin & Shayfer
As soon as we started planning Kaylin and Shayfer’s engagement session they knew it needed to be on the water! During Kaylin’s childhood her family would always travel to Beaufort, NC for their family vacations. This family tradition created a love of the coast that Kaylin has kept with her into adulthood. When it came to the proposal Shayfer incorporated this sentiment and asked Kaylin to be his wife beside the water.
When it came to wedding planning it was no surprise that Kaylin and Shayfer would choose Beaufort as their destination. They have chosen the Beaufort Hotel as the venue to host their family and friends next June for their wedding weekend. We are so thrilled to be a part of this season for them and cannot wait to photograph their big day!
Kaylin and Shayfer were so natural in front of the camera. It was a joy to see their love for each other come through so clearly during their engagement session. Their session took place on Lake Norman at the beautiful Peninsula Yatch Club. We started off on the dock with a picnic and prosecco, followed by a vintage sailboat ride across the lake at sunset. For the sailboat ride Kaylin changed into a pop of color and stole the show with her bright pink dress!
From what we have heard so far, pops of color will be sprinkled all over their wedding weekend. We cannot wait to show you all more next summer!
From the Bride: We met at a wedding! I was a bridesmaid and he was friends with the groom. We have been together ever since that night which was 4 years ago, May 20. Our ideal date night would be going to the driving range and then grabbing a Jets Pizza on the way home!
